Level Up System - Not Yet Finished But Almost!

I still haven't finished it but development is steady. Its UI really came to life with the addition of sound effects. I'm working now on the unit classes which we can see in this video.

I've decided to re-include the 'Intelligence' attribute that I had discarded sometime now. The unit's intelligence will also play a role during leveling up, dictating the number of times the player can roll for bonuses.

Level Up System - Development Continues

Dropping by to leave another update concerning the level-up system. I had to rethink the whole level-up mechanics and reintroduce the Intelligence attribute that I had removed some time ago.


If all goes according to plan, I will be able to show the finalized version next week, with UI sound effects and all!

Level-Up System - First Impressions

 Just a quick teaser of what the level-up system will be like. It will be a sort of a mini-game where players will use symbols with particular meanings to unlock modifiers of each of the 3 groups: main attributes, secondary attributes, and skills.

A new video will be made showing the whole system in place; I just need to implement it first :)

New Status Alert System

In order to make units' ongoing effects more visible, I've added some tab-like labels to display them. The video shows me inflicting wounds on units in debug mode and then selecting units to display those effects.


The 'Level Up' warning will also be included as a button in this system, which players can use to bring up the level-up system.
