The New Upgrades Tooltip

I've completely redesigned the upgrade levels for items along with the way they are presented to the user.

Each upgrade level grants 2 bonuses that are randomly selected from any of the 3 upgrade groups. Once the item is fully upgraded, it no longer can be further expanded or modified.

The Ripper

This is Archrebel's first and probably the only melee weapon the game will feature when the demo releases. The Ripper serves as a good backup weapon for close encounters and for when your main ranged weapon has run out of ammunition.

The Ripper is also a good solution to clear droid wreckages and other obstacles that may get in the way, like alien vegetation.

UI - Key binding implemented.

Finally, The whole key binding is implemented, along with some keyboard input layout previews as well. I had a lot of work with it, and I'm glad it is finally done.

I love having an audio response (feedback) when using an interface, and that's why pretty much every action issued on Archrebel's UI has a sound effect.

UI - In-game Settings

This video shows how the player can quickly access the game's settings during gameplay time. It's not something extraordinary, but something I wanted to do. :)

I can't believe the UI is pretty much implemented. Sure, some details are still missing, and I still need to implement the input binding system, but the hardest part is now out of the way.

This is the improved title screen. It's by far my most challenging pixel artwork and probably my best.

The Main Menu

I've spent the last two weeks working on the game's Main Menu. I didn't want it to feel boring but with that 90s kind of 'glamour' ;) I also wanted it to be fast with few clicks, so, there aren't screens but panels users can go back and forth resuming them with ease.

I plan to add symbols (icons) as well, but that will come at a later stage of development. For now, what matters is that it works. :)
