I've started implementing a dialog system that uses area triggers that are
activated when units walk into them. This system will be important for story
development and other situations concerning the game's lore.
I will then easily update this system to trigger all kinds of media, such as sounds, explosions, reinforcements, and whatnot. Hopefully, it won't take too long to do this so I can still release the demo this month.
